Cronitor Integration
Learn how to connect Cronitor to ilert using a webhook integration for seamless alert management.
Cronitor’s webhook integration with ilert allows you to automatically forward monitoring alerts from Cronitor into ilert, enabling centralized incident management, automated escalation policies, and reduced MTTR. By setting up this connection, you ensure that critical alerts from Cronitor are never missed and are handled according to your on-call schedule.
In ilert: Create a Cronitor alert source
Go to Alert sources -> Alert sources and click Create new alert source.
Search for Cronitor in the search field, click the Cronitor tile, and then Next.
Give your alert source a name, optionally assign teams, and click Next.
Select an escalation policy by creating a new one or assigning an existing one.
Select your Alert grouping preference and click Continue setup. You may click Do not group alerts for now and change it later.
The next page shows additional settings, such as customer alert templates or notification priority. Click Finish setup for now.
On the final page, an API key and/or webhook URL will be generated. You will need it later.

In Cronitor: Creating a webhook integration
On the sidebar, navigate to Settings.

Select Integrations.

Click the Create Integration button.

Select Webhooks from the integration list.

Enter an Integration Name.
Paste the previously generated Integration URL from ilert into the Webhook URL field.

Will alerts in ilert be resolved automatically?
Yes, as soon as a Cronitor sends an alert event with field type
value set to recovery
, corresponding alert in ilert will be resolved.
