Opsgenie Integration
Connect Opsgenie with ilert to relay alerts, route on-call, and keep alerts in sync during migrations or hybrid setups.
Opsgenie is an on-call and incident management tool by Atlassian used to aggregate alerts, notify responders, and manage escalations. Integrating Opsgenie with ilert lets you forward alerts and incident updates into ilert – where you can consolidate routing, apply deduplication, trigger runbooks, and publish status updates. This is especially useful during migrations to ilert or for hybrid environments that need a single source of truth and reduced MTTR.
In ilert: Create a Opsgenie alert source
Go to Alert sources -> Alert sources and click Create new alert source.

Search for Opsgenie in the search field, click the Opsgenie tile, and then Next.

Give your alert source a name, optionally assign teams, and click Next.
Select an escalation policy by creating a new one or assigning an existing one.

Select your Alert grouping preference and click Continue setup. You may click Do not group alerts for now and change it later.

The next page shows additional settings, such as customer alert templates or notification priority. Click Finish setup for now.
On the final page, an API key and/or webhook URL will be generated. You will need it later.

Will alerts in ilert be resolved automatically?
Yes, as soon as a Opsgenie sends an alert event with field action value set to Close or Delete corresponding alert in ilert will be resolved.
Will alerts in ilert be accepted automatically?
Yes, as soon as a Opsgenie sends an alert event with field action value set to Acknowledge corresponding alert in ilert will be accepted.
