# Outbound integrations

Outbound integrations, or **alert actions**, refer to actions that can be performed by ilert to send notifications, updates, or execute tasks in external systems based on alert-related events. To create a new alert action, go to **Alert sources** —> **Alert actions** and click **Create new alert action** in the top right corner.
